Product Care

Suede

Suede is a natural material. It breathes, softens with wear and gradually takes on the shape of your foot. Treat each new pair with a suede protector spray before the first wear, holding the can about eight inches away. Brush away dust gently with a suede brush, always in the same direction. Keep suede away from water, and should a pair get wet, let it dry at room temperature, away from heat and direct sun, then brush the nap back up. Sunlight fades suede over time, so store your shoes away from the light.

Smooth leather and embossed nubuck

Wipe away dust with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. Nourish smooth leather with a neutral cream from time to time, and brush embossed nubuck gently with a soft brush to keep its texture crisp. Keep both away from prolonged moisture.

Leather linings and soles

Leather linings mold to your foot over the first few wears. Allow each pair to rest for a day between wears so the leather can breathe, and use cedar shoe trees to preserve the shape.

Sneakers

Wipe rubber soles with a damp cloth and spot clean the uppers with a soft brush. Never place sneakers in a washing machine.

Knit

Knit uppers can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild soap. Allow them to air dry, away from heat.

Storage

Keep your shoes in their dust bags and box, in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
